Here I am

Alright - I am at about the what? Eight month since day one. I really had done so well, once I hit 138 I kind of didn't watch so much. I am now 144. That isn't so bad, so I have decided before it gets out of hand I am coming back to SP!

My Goals:
Unfortunately - I haven't started my program officially until January 1, 2008.

My name is Joann - I joined this site because I used to be a total stick girl and through marriage - time - and age - I can't consume a whole sheet pizza anymore. So ......... as I kiss goodbye large portions and weekend cocktails I am making better decisions about my food & drink choices. I think before I eat now. I am an average size - but I want to tone everything up.

Other Information:
I am an accountant for a manufacturing company handling predominantly GL and all financials & reporting. I graduated from Seton Hill University in Greensburg a couple years ago.

I am now 33. I have become struck with the reality that I can't down lady locks like a machine gun!

hi! thanks for the advice!! i know its very difficult to get started and follow through with a plan, and unfortunately, i haven't developed a routine yet. since i joined, i have just been logging what i ate, and sometimes i was below the requirement. Hopefully i'll gain motivation soon and finally finish what i started

Hi Joann! Do you live in PA? I live about 10 min from Seton Hill and usually drive past it on my way to Westmoreland Mall. I live in Penn Township. It's always interesting to find someone from the same area on here. It's been rare...but lately I've been finding a lot more.

Hey thanks! Yeah I am confident about doing the walk, not so confident about raising the money! It's funny that you suggest the bulletin board because I work at a very small company so I have already sent out the email fundraising letter to everyone.. well I guess I may have missed a few, but yeah. My girlfriend will probably put up some info at her work though and hopefully that will help.

As for the training, there is a 24 week plan I will be following starting next week but there is also a 16 week plan. It just starts with 3 miles and you work your way up until you do 18-20 miles in a day just like you will during the actual walk. Then you taper down at the end to rest right before the walk.
