Jo's "My diet is finally working" page

I'm 26 and my diet is working...finally! I've gone vegetarian, given up soda, but for the most part I still eat what I want, (I never really enjoyed eating meat and I was a vegetarian before) I just eat a lot less of it. It's working so far, I've lost 53lbs and I'm almost to my goal, just have to keep going to the gym and watching what I put on my plate to go the rest of the way!

Personal Information:
I'm married, no kids yet, but we have three beagles who are quite enough noise in our house for now. I recently graduated from the University of Richmond and I am the senior graphic designer in a marketing company.

Other Information:
I love reading, swimming, art, and listening to music. I have been passionate about all of them since I was a kid. I still teach swimming on weekends and my full-time job is art so that works out for me well. I listen to lots of music but my favorites are The Weepies, Tegan and Sara, and The Kooks. I love to read the classics, Jane Eyre is my favorite along with anything by Jane Austen. I also read the Harry Potter series and most recently the Twilight series.

Wow. Thanks for the friendship :-)
Looking at your goals you can do it, really you can :)
I've lost 60 pounds and if I can do it, you can do it!!!
I see you teach swimming. neat. and swim. Even though I'm on a masters swim team swimming just doesn't get me to burn calories really. A few workouts that are really strenuos, ok, but in general no.
My big weight loss was due to logging foods and drinking more water. I ate healthy in the end but downing a handful of sesame seeds is a HUGE amount of calories!
So log log log everyhting and then you'll start to SEE what you really eat, when and why, too.
And, sleep! it's great for my depression AND for weight loss.
