Joline's Postive Spot

I have been taking steps towards a more active and positive life over the last few years, including exercise which has reduced some of the physical effects of repeated back injuries and healthier eating habits which have enabled me to lose over 50 lbs. But after a long period of unemployment (now thankfully ended) and the resultant bruising of my self-esteem I needed something to help me re-energize and move forward. Here I am and this will be my positive spot.

My Goals:
To slim down to my "ideal" weight and clothing size, to build a stronger, healthier, more mobile body and to enjoy dancing and other activities in that new body.

My Program:
Eating with mindfulness, following the boot camp routines available here and adding in new exercises as I find them and feel they are appropriate.

Personal Information:
I am currently a Seattle-area girl and love the Pacific Northwest. As a former military brat I've traveled and enjoyed all the wonderful places I have lived or visited, but this is home. I still travel as an amateur photographer collecting photos of anything that takes my fancy. Some images available at www.eyesofthecat.com

Other Information:
My current inspiring books are "Thoughts are Things" by Prentice Mulford and "Seven Times Down, Eight Times Up" by Dr. Alan Gettis. My current theme song is "Little by Little" from the movie "Happily N'Ever After 2". ("'Cause little by little is a lot more than nothing at all")

Thanks for the encouragement! Woooooeee, I need it for some reason! Hey, I noticed you are making a gluten free pie. How is it for you to be gluten free? What differences are you seeing? I've been considering it, and I am also apprehensive because I know how hard it was for me to do anything socially normal when I was vegan.

Planning to make a gluten free, dairy free, sugar free pumpkin pie to take across the driveway to my aunt and uncle's house. My sister-in-law, nephew and I are all doing the gluten free, dairy free thing and she LOVES pumpkin. I'll post if the experiment works.

Regarding the goats for maintenance, some people who have goats rent them out to people to clean up their yards. Goats can be tricky to keep. They are so clever at escaping!
