I've been a yo-yo dieter since I was 6 years old! I go up and down 10-20lbs. . . Every year. I get determined to lose the weight, and when it's gone... I relax and lose track. Before I know it I'm back where I started but with a lower metabolism than before. I've tried EVERY diet plan ever! Pills, books, programs, and scams. From quick fixes and detoxes (lemonade, fat flush, cabbage soup, etc.) and supposed long term healthy ones (weight watchers, ediets, slimfast,) You name it, I'm sure I've tried it. I've even tried this Spark page before and quickly failed (I couldn't seem to track my food accurately since I eat out alot.) And I'm an all or nothing kinda dieter. I started this site again last week, and was not optimistic, but as I go, I'm logging in often and doing better than I thought. I'd love to stop yo-yoing. It plays such a toll not only on my body, but also on my mental health too. More over, I would like to stop making my weight the central focus in my life and the basis of my happiness. I will start blogging to see if that works. I've heard it helps. It's worth a try.

Ugh,oh. Update, and falling off the wagon! It started with just taking the weekends off, then a week off, going on 2 weeks now. Gotta get back on before I spiral outta control! I'm already starting with the fatigue and headaches. I joined another spark team today (get back on the wagon) for some support.. we'll see if that helps!

Ok. 01.07.09- Still on and off again, I feel doomed to be a yo-yoer. I'm starting the 'clean eating' diet. But supposedly it's a way of life (as was many other diets I've tried.) I realize it's supposed to be a way of life...but it seems really unrealistic that i will stick with this. I have no consistancy.

...and 01.25.10. Yeah. still no such luck. Fell off the wagon. Been hovering and yo-yoing. Love to eat clean, but I'm SO inconsistent!

Lose the 5-10 lbs. , tone up, and most importaintly. . . STOP THE YO-YO!! I REALLY REALLY want to maintain for once in my life!

My Program:
3 days/ week 45 min. cardio (eliptical or jogging)
3 days/week strength training

1200-1500 calories
25-35 g fiber
163-256 carbs
32-56 g fat

I'm just logging in my foods and following the nutritional and fitness guidelines as best as possible.

MOST IMPORTANTLY: avoiding High fructose Corn Syrup, Hydrogenated oils, and other artificial presevitaves.
