A New Year A New Me

My 34 year old daughter has been suggesting I join this website and so I finally did. I am 57 years old and weigh 247 pounds and I am 5'3". Diabetes is my major factor along with Osteoarthritis in the knees. I am looking forward to this new year and this new program. My husband and I go to Civil War Reenactments where I am the Voluptuosly Fluffy "Miss Ruby" the Saloon Keeper. Better health for the future is my goal.

Congrats on being full and not eating to your limit!

I have the same "problem". I don't know for sure, I am not an expert, but I think it is because when we are eating "right" and getting useful calories, we are automatically eating less carbs and we lose that "crave" caused by excess carbs and excess insulin because of it.

Keep up your good work!

If you getting full before you eat all your allotted food for the day, you're probably doing something right!!!!!

Sounds like you are making progress. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the birthday email as well as the friend add! (I'll do the same.) My DH and I were in Washington state this past summer. What a beautiful state. He has a brother in the Tacoma area and a sister in Pullman. We hope to go back again!

I'm more into Scottish stuff, but I have good friends who are reenactors. They love it!
