The New Me

After years of on again off again on Spark People I finally put my foot down in 2012... Well both feet... Literally. I started the Couch 2 5K program. I lost 20 lbs by that & eating healthier by tracking here. I also had support from my hubby who was not working at the time.
I ran my 5K; then the nights got dark earlier, my hubs got a job, and I stopped running, then I stopped tracking food...This was Fall 2012.
I only gained back about 5lbs, but I knew I wanted to be active ...

I only gained back about 5lbs, but I knew I wanted to be active again, so I signed up for Crossfit intro classes with a friend. She didn't like it, but I was hooked! I Now go (almost) every weekday and it's a love/hate relationship :P But I haven't lost much weight. I got a Fitbit for Xmas & I know I need to start eating better (I use my Crossfit as an excuse to eat stuff I shouldn't). So here I am AGAIN! Back to tracking!! Hopefully I can meet min final goal weight by this summer. If not its still part of the newer, healthier ME!

What part of LA do you live in? I have the same exercise issues. Sometimes you have to make them family activities to get them in for YOU! But yes every little bit adds up so keep on trucking!

No problem emoticon As a kid we always went to see the mermaids perform & swim in the spring and now as an adult it's cool to know I have friends who are doing it. If I still lived back home and was 80 pounds less I would try to do it too lol

Thanks for the blog comment. And I don't know where you live but where I grew up in Florida we had real life mermaids so your daughter could actually be one lol. Go to http://weekiwachee.com a lot of my old high school friends are mermaids working there. It's really neat :)
