I believe you need to work from the inside out. I know my thinner, smaller self is on the inside, just waiting for these 15-20 lbs. to get off the outside!
Hi, I'm JoAnne, I live in Wisconsin. I ran 2 5K races last year for the first time. Then ran into some health issues and couldn't run--packed on some weight, but now want to get to a healthy weight and feel good again.

My Goals:
Long term (1 year) I want to weigh between 128 and 130 lbs.

Short term, I am striving to work back up to running. Due to limitations of time and my current weight I want to run in a 2 mile race Labor day weekend.

My Program:
Stretching, walking and running 10-15 minutes 3 times per week

emoticon Everyone keeps mentioning PB, but I'm not sure what that is?
Well if I make it under 3 hours that would be a real accomplishment! Yes actually, I do plan on running some smaller races after school lets out in April. I'm pretty excited for those!

What are your running goals?

I hadn't really set a goal yet for the half marathon but I was hoping to complete it in 5 or 6 hours? I'm not sure if that's a reasonable goal or not, have you ever completed a half marathon? What were your times?

I run 4x a week and I switch up the distances. Right now it's 3k some days and 5k others. I should check out the Spark articles on training, they'd probably be really helpful!

oh it wasn't in a race! haha I'm building up my running endurance so I'll be able to run a half marathon in September. So I ran 5k in about 40 minutes. Maybe I'll be able to get that time down to thirty minutes. Do you know how long it usually takes to run 5k?
