UPDATE...

I have lost my first 50 lbs. I am feeling so good these days. I have amazing energy...the workouts that I do now I would have never been able to do when I first started. I was able to avoid taking Meds for diabetes. I was pre-diabetic when I started and now I am in normal range. That was my main focus. If there is anything that I can do to avoid it...I am going to do it. I am now working on the last 50 to 60 lbs. I want to have ...

I have lost my first 50 lbs. I am feeling so good these days. I have amazing energy...the workouts that I do now I would have never been able to do when I first started. I was able to avoid taking Meds for diabetes. I was pre-diabetic when I started and now I am in normal range. That was my main focus. If there is anything that I can do to avoid it...I am going to do it. I am now working on the last 50 to 60 lbs. I want to have a healthy BMI. I have great support at home and at work which is where I get most of my daily workouts done. I have started a whole new walking team through work for the Amercian Cancer Society. I was voted as Captain for the "Fitness at Work Walking Team" ..we are called the "Slauson Fire Walkers"

Hopefully, with the support from my Spark friends, family and with the Lord's Blessing and strength I will be able to do it this time.

My Goals:
My Goals for 2010 are:

1. To lose another 50 lbs. by December 31, 2010. I am still work in progress.

2. A must is: to do more strength training.

3. Do more mini goals throughout the year. They really do help.

The focus is on your short term goal and is more manageable and goes quickly.

4. To change my lifestyle. Still work in progress! ..I think it will always be!!

These days I have a lot more discipline in my nutrition and fitness than ever before. It comes natural to me now which makes it so much easier to make healthier food choices.

My Program:
Just eating healthier foods and portion control. I'm doing a lot of exercise these days. Right now I am walking anywhere 5 to 6 miles a day 6 days a week sometimes even 7 days a week. I have added kickboxing, aerobics, pilates and now have added some weight training. I alternate between the two a couple of times a week and I also jump on the treadmill and run to finish up a really good workout. My routine has changed so much since I started 2 years ago in part because of my energy levels are very high. I finally broke through that vicious circle that was holding me back. I love it and I am not letting it go.

Update: I need to add a little more strength training for 2010. That is a must for me this year.

Hi, my name is Jo, JoJo, Fina or Giuseppe I have all kinds of nicknames.. and the list goes on. I live in So. Calif. where the weather is great so I have no excuses to get outside and exercise.

MY CURRENT MINI GOAL IS:

To lose 10 lbs. by the end of August!!







Other Information:
I enjoy the outdoors. Gardening, walking. I love my garden. I enjoy dancing ..any kind of dancing. I love dancing salsa, merengue, I can even do a little line dancing, hip hop, you name it and I will do it and if I can't do it I will try to do it. I just love to move to music. Besides it is also a great cardio workout. It is a great way to end a good 4 or 5 mile run to get that extra boost in. I enjoy hanging out with my husband who is my best friend and my support along with my Mom. My hubby has never ever complained about my weight. He just wants me to be happy. And if losing weight is going to make me happy ..then he is all for it. Plus my bonus is that I have adorable nieces and nephews and I want to be around for them for a looonggg time.
