1 year down, and still SPARKiN*

It's time for an update....
Today is my 1 year anniversary on SparkPeople and it has changed my life for the better. I am an ambitious 25 year old female that has been overweight my whole life. Last year I decided to make this lifestyle change and couldn't have done it without the SP support. Down 50 lbs. and feeling great! I, like many others on this site, am proof that you can accomplish anything you put your mind to.

I hear ya! I've still beenworking out and eating ok but I am just maintaining..I have a LONG ways to go before I can just maintain! lol - Time to set it up again! My friend is letting me borrow her Turbo Fire..going to try it for a week to see if I like it and then I'll get it if I do..Day 1 down..not too shabby! :-)

I don't know, I guess it all comes down to the mindset. It doesn't seem to me like there is a perfect diet ...you eat less and exercise more and you'll lose weight. The only thing I can say is that when you want to lose weight or accompllish any goal you're searching for the feeling, not the 'thing.' So, we don't really want to 'lose weight,' we want the feeling that goes along with it, such as acceptance, desirability, etc., and that's why it's so important to be motivated within versus without, meaning externally. That's my psychology for the day LOL
