1 year down, and still SPARKiN*

It's time for an update....
Today is my 1 year anniversary on SparkPeople and it has changed my life for the better. I am an ambitious 25 year old female that has been overweight my whole life. Last year I decided to make this lifestyle change and couldn't have done it without the SP support. Down 50 lbs. and feeling great! I, like many others on this site, am proof that you can accomplish anything you put your mind to.

You asked "what's the best way to do it HIIT" on an article.

I do treadmill and calisthenics.

Example for tread:
warm up
run/sprint for 40 to 60 sec
brisk walk for 2 min
repeat for up to 45 minutes

Example of calisthenics:
walk for warm up
jumping jacks for 40 sec
easy jog for 20 sec
high knees for 40 sec
easy jog
side to side lunges
etc...

You get the idea. I do the 2nd example when I instruct a HIIT class. By the time you are done, you know you have kicked your butt! Good luck and I hope this helps!

Hey girl! It's great to hear from you! How are you doing? I'm about to catch up on your blogs. I've been doing okay...not the best eating-wise, but at least I haven't gained. I'm trying to get back into exercise, and that feeling of loving being active and the endorphins. Also trying to avoid bingeing, which is hard! Anyway, thanks for checking in!

Thank you for visiting my page & for the wonderful comments emoticon Training for my competition was hard for me. I had an awesome trainer who helped me so much but I still struggled with the food! Cooking your meals in bulk is the only way to do it. You must be prepared with your food, taking it with you if you won't be home, etc. I did the best I could do at that point in my life! The competition itself was a blast and I'm so happy I did it!
