I want to be FIT & FABULOUS by FIFTY!!!!!

This isn't my first time trying to use SP to help me, but I do believe that I will be here for a long time now! I just turned 47 and I've come to realize that I don't want to heavy and unhealthy anymore....the Big 50 isn't too far away and I want to enter my 50's as Fit and Fabulous! I know that getting older is hard on the body by itself. I've witnessed many people struggling. As my Mother in Law once said, "Getting old is hard, its not for sissies!"

I know I've done some good already. I've been with a trainer for 5 years now and my body is strong! I have lower back issues that I have to deal with, but it doesn't stop me. My trainer is so well knowledged that she strengthens my muscles so I will able to support my back better. I've also really come far with my knees. I used to think my knees were soooo bad, but what I've come to realize is that it wasn't so much my knees, but the muscles around my knees that weren't working so well, so I put too much pressure on my knees. Now I can walk up and down stairs so easy! My husband noticed it awhile back saying something like "you look completely different going up the stairs." I look forward to the day I can really sprint up and down the stairs!

I know I have muscles to "show off", but right now there is this thing called fat that is surrounding them. I can't wait for the day to show off my arms and be proud!

Get Cardio in ... haven't been good at this one!

My Program:
Currently working out with a trainer 4 days a week. Considering joining "trail club" in April....just another reason to keep moving!

Attempting to follow "17 Day Diet" is good, but I do tend to "nibble" foods that I shouldn't.

I love to bike....I'm anxious to get back on my bike when weather warms up! Last year I was averaging 50 miles a week.

I have twin boys who are 18 and Seniors this year!

I live outside of Chicago, but grew up in Wisconsin. I have lived in 5 states. We moved around a lot the first 10 years of our marriage. We've lived in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Southern Indiana, and currently in Illinois, Most of our family still is in Wisconsin.

We have 3 dogs and 1 cat.

Cat - Clarence(11 yrs)

Dog -Sadie (10 yrs) is a Husky/Shepard mix

Dog - Daisy (7 yrs) is a Fox Terrier/mix

Puppy - Maddie (2 months) is a Shepard mix
