Feeling Sparky

Hi! I am determined to track my food, exercise consistently, and lose 18 pounds :-) It sure is NOT easy at my age, and hypothyroid, but I am quite determined. Never say never and never quit!

I kinda fell off track around the holidays too. I always do. I wind up gaining a little back at that time of year EVERY year. I know it's coming and i try to mentally prep myself but give in to all the good food and family gatherings anyway. As long as I don't gain too much I guess it's still okay. At least, it is in my opinion. I can work 4-5 lbs back off. It may take a little time, but it does come back off eventually, LOL!

I am so glad you are back on SP. I hope that 2014 is a year of success for you! I am hoping to make it to goal by November this year. I am trying my best to fit back in my wedding dress by our 15th anniversary on November 6th. We'll see how I do. Thanks for all the kind words and support! =)

Thank you for the goodie!! Glad I helped and hope Mr. Scale starts to behave, lol. I've written some blogs in the past of my love-hate relationship with him.
There is a SP article that explains the water retention your muscles may have with increased/new exercise.

Hi! Dietbet is a website that has games you pay different amounts to join, there are 4 week ones where you have to lose 4% of your body weight in 4 weeks. At the end of you win you get to split the pot with the other winners. It's motivating but scary when you have to do your final weigh-in. You take pics of your weight on the scale and of yourself standing on scale.

emoticon on doing Couch-to-5k and Jillian's 30 day Shred. I had success with both. Your muscles may be retaining water from the extra exercise but once your muscles adjust it'll show on the scale.

Good luck!! emoticon
