Starting again...

The day was January 1st 2013 and the weight had peaked at 248.5. I laid in the bed watching informercials and thought..."I have got to do something about this."

Change had to come that day, but there was an obstacle...the giant hole in my stomach from surgery a few weeks before. But, I couldn't let that stop me.

What could I do that day to make an immediate change? The answer, track my food and stay within my calories. I knew that ...

What could I do that day to make an immediate change? The answer, track my food and stay within my calories. I knew that day that I had to do this. My life depends on it.

And so I got started. I started with tracking my food and after my stomach healed, I added a little workout here and there.

I'm seeing results and I'm doing more.

I will do this - I will see my goal of 176. I'm not sure how long it will take, but I'm in it for the long haul!

Baby Steps...

To start I will:

sleep 7 hrs each night

8 cups of non-carbonated liquid each day

exercise 7 times each week for at least 15 minutes

I love LOVE - the Love I receive from God and my family and the Love I give to those around me.

I read your post on your bathroom scale and it made me crack up! I could just picture a little girl kicking the scale and saying that! Probably because it's something my little girl would have done!, (she 17 now). Thanks for sharing...it made me smile! emoticon
