I am 29 at the moment and will turn 30 in March 2012, eek! We have booked a lovely beach and safari holiday in Kenya to celebrate and I really need to lose about 3-4 stone (42-56 pounds) as I would love to look back on the photos and be proud of myself.

I have absolutely zero will power and use my long hours and sedentary lifestyle as an excuse, I was so determined to slim down for our fantastic holiday to the Maldives this year but I didn't do it. Needless to say, there are very few pictures of me in paradise.

So now I have begun my journey I thought I would set out some goals for what I want to achieve and I think it is only fair that I also reward myself! I need to confirm my 'start' weight in the morning so my goals are a mix of losing a set number of pounds or reaching a specific weight.

Goal 1) Lose 10 pounds from my start weight.
Reward - Buy myself some perfume.

Goal 2) Get my weight down to 175 pounds (what I was when I met my boyfriend).
Reward - Book a massage

Goal 3) Lose a total of 30 pounds.
Reward - A Thai meal to celebrate, hey I'll be able to work it off right?!

Goal 3) Lose 3 stone/42 pounds, this is my realistic goal.
Reward - New clothes and lots of them! I'll have dropped 3 dress sizes by this point so I think I will need them!

Goal 4) Lose 50 pounds OR become a UK Size 12.
Reward - A holiday somewhere exotic to show off my new body!

****Update 28th November 2011****

Well I am now 11 weeks into my Spark Journey and have just hit my first target of losing 10lbs so I am really happy! The weight has come off a lot slower than I had first hoped but I have lost some serious inches off my waist, hips, butt and thighs. Unfortunately I have lost the bit of paper I wrote my measurements on at the start but I can now take my trousers off without undoing them and can grab handfuls of material from the thigh & bum area so that's surely a good sign.

I am fitter than I have been in years and am now doing 3 Zumba classes a week and made lots of new friends. My Zumba instructor has just invited me to choreograph some new dances with her over the new year and that's going to be a great challenge.

Here is to the next 11 weeks and hopefully reaching target 2!

My Goals:
To get fitter and lose weight.

My ideal weightloss would be in the region of 42-56 pounds.

Other than that I want to travel the world and my ultimate goal is to get some underwater photographs pusblished, that would be awesome!

My Program:
I expect my programme (as we say in the UK) will change as time goes on but for now:

Monday - Swim
Wednesday - Swim
Thursday - Zumba
Friday - Boxercise

I will also try and do some walking in my lunch time.

Personal Information:
I live in Maidstone but work in Sevenoaks and am most of the way through completing my ACCA qualification.

Other Information:
I love marine fish and keep a small tank at home, I am always planning my next holiday which undoubtedly involves diving and/or lots of snorkeling.
