Time For Me

I am over 40 and proud of it. I want to feel good about my self and look good too. I am feeling nervous about sticking to this program, because I am feeding a family and i don't want to make different meals, we do not eat out since I had my gullbladder out 3 months ago. So McDonalds is not on the menu, very very rarely now. I home cook alot of meals and I guess its going to be a learning process when I place my ingredients. I CAN DO THIS!!!! I did it and then life got in the way. Back to ...

Hello and welcome to the beginning of your journey to a healthier lifestyle.

SparkPeople really works, but the key is you and consistency. Find and join SparkTeams that fit your interests and needs (best place to talk to friends you have never met, and get all the support and motivation you will need). Stay active on your teams and post frequently. Track your food; drink at least 8 glasses of water a day (challenge yourself to work your way up to it if you are finding this difficult). Add different exercises to your day (start off slowly and increase the amount of exercise over time).

Take baby steps, and before you know it those baby steps become giant leaps. SparkPeople is free, but the rewards are priceless.

Welcome to SP! Great progress getting your page started! I am also a recent member (from Jan 12th) and have really enjoyed the support and encouragement very much. As I skimmed your page and your teams, I noticed we have a few things in common and I just wanted to stop by and offer you a buddy or just someone to vent to about anything. There are several ONTARIO teams. One has 297 members and another has 197 members. Go to the top of the TOOL BAR and click COMMUNITY and then SPARKTEAMS and then on the page put in ONTARIO.

Also, on the message board under the second section is community and you can find others from your area.

On the SPARKPAGE under COMMUNITY, you can also put in a SEARCH for people in your zip code and find local Sparkpages. Post on their page or send them Sparkmail.
