Getting me back

I am 36 years old and have two boys, Jack aged 3 and Nathan aged 3 months. I had both by c section and have gained a lot of weight and lost a lot of tone over the last 4 years.

I want this year and the next 4 years to be about reclaiming my body and my fitness and getting "me" back. I want to hit 40 feeling proud of myself rather than ashamed. I want to wear a colour other than black most of the time. I want to show my kids how to live healthily and actively. I want to be happy ...

My Goals:
Run a 5k on 5th June 2011.

Lose 17lbs by 5th June..

Lose 42lbs by my birthday, 12th November.

My Program:
Couch to 5k, 3 x a week - done this!! Now training using the Bridge to 10k programme.

Walking as much as possible.

After the 5k, regular running and possibly train for a 10k.

It sounds like that would be a better way to keep up with you since you aren't on here much. I'm trying to be on Spark more because I find the accountability helpful but it is hard to make the time to do it. :/

I'm also doing another half marathon in March! Hopefully through facebook we can keep up with each other's training things! *hugs*

Awesome job raising all those funds! You have done a fantastic job. Don't get down. Remember how far you came with the 5K training and that didn't happen overnight! You can do this as well!! emoticon

Thanks for the comment on my blog. I tried the past two days to switch around my food. I've been eating a snack around noon, dinner around 4 and then my "lunch" (sandwich) in the evening. That is working for now as I've been in more control.

It is SO awesome that you finished the C25K program. Did you do a run to celebrate it? Do you have a run planned for when you finish the 10K program?
