Happily married for 50 years now, and age 71 - and although I have a long way to go yet, I have lots of HOPE now that I am back on SP. I am determined to stick this out to the end (re: pounds to lose) , and then to maintain it for life. That is the key for me...keeping it off. At year's end I have lost 20 pounds here, and aim for 20 lbs more in 2014!

We are truly blessed, with a beautiful daughter and terrific grandson and great son-in-law. Our family may be small, but we are close knit, and live near to one another - all of us in the same province. God is good. We are retired but involved in a good (Baptist) church, and serving the Lord brings us joy. Nothing can compare with the joy of His Presence, and I pray every one who reads this page will experience this life as well, with Jesus as their Lord and Saviour and Friend.

-reduce intake & increase activity & daily exercise. Recently I discovered I am sensitive to wheat and dairy, so it means an adjustment in my eating habits.

    Thanks, Joanie! I am so happy that you like the kitchen in our new home! I love it too, though haven't had a chance to use it yet. we are living in our RV about 100 miles from home while helping a friend fix up his house that was destroyed by renters. We have been working on it since July 22, so our house is going to have to be finished later.

    I hope that you and your husband are doing well. Are you still in your cabin, or back home? emoticon
