Its been said that our minds can only hold one thought at a time, which means we have a choice: We can focus on a thought that makes us feel badly or we can focus on something that makes us feel good. Every second that passes is a chance to turn things around. The only thing holding you back is your thinking.

Jan 15, 2010...UPDATE

As I read the paragraph at the bottom I have a sense of pride because of what I have accomplished. I am 27 now (28 in April '10) and I feel great about myself and my body image. I didn't have a bunch of weight to lose to begin with, but the changes I see in my body are substantial. I am confident, I have endurance, I no longer see thunder thighs and want to cry. Now I see a body that is ever-changing (for the better) and I've learned to be okay with the slow, steady progress. I think I'd even wear a bikini in public. In fact, one of my beautiful Spark Sisters convinced me to post a bikini picture to show my progress...ask me to do that a year ago and I would have called you insane!!!

I don't know how I've managed to stick with it, except that I becomes addictive when you see the fruit of your labor. I hope that this truly is a new lifestyle for me and that I don't fall back into that slump. I know that SparkPeople and my Fun Fearless Females team have been a huge part of my success and I look forward to many more years with my awesome, beautiful, supportive Spark Team!!! Thanks Ladies, you know who you are!!!! XO

Time to refocus. I've been at this weight loss thing for a while now and I've fluctuated so much. Lately I've really been in a slump and I NEED to change the way I feel about myself. It's now or never. I'm only 26 and there's no reason for me to feel this way about myself. I love the support that I get here on SparkPeople and I hope I can stick with the program!

My Goals:
Aside from looking and feeling great, I'd like to prepare my body for having children. So many women struggle w/ weight during pregnancy and I would like to give myself the best possible chance at being healthy during and after.
Overall, I'd like to achieve a more active lifestyle and HAVE MORE ENERGY!

My Program:
I feel like I've passed the "diet" stage and have moved on to the "healthy lifestyle" stage. I have been jogging 2 miles on a regular basis and my personal best is 3.5 miles. I'm hoping to break that soon. I also love to XCountry Ski, Rollerblade, go on long walks outside and pretty much any outside activity. I am definatly more active since starting SP and I feel great!
