after hiking - before my journey really began
Just remember, one foot in front of the other will get you where you need to go if you focus on the destination.
Apparently, I forgot this over the past year and haven't been focusing on the destination. Lucky me though, when I weighed myself and committed to coming back and doing the program, I came back with the same weight as when I left.
I've had many, many personal challenges over the past year and lost sight of what I need to do for myself and my health. So I'm recommitting myself to myself and doing what I need to do for me to get healthy and active and feel better about myself and my body.
1. focus on inches more so than the scale
2. eat healthy - get my calories in
3. exercise, exercise, exercise
4. continue to drink my water
5. focus on the positive and not the negative
6. and don't quit!
Exercise program - week of 7/9/12:
MWF: 3-4 mile walk w/ Leslie Sansone
TTrSa: Zumba & 30 min The Firm for cardio/weight training.
M-F: will do 1 mile walk each day while at work
Good carbs, lots of protein, fresh fruits/veggies, plenty of water, NO soda, minimal fast food (if I do, it will be the healthier versions)

My name is Angela and I lost my sister due to obesity. She didn't want to try to lose weight and said that by eating the way she did, it was a form of slow suicide. Before you judge, she was bi-polar her entire life. I'm currently the age she was when she passed away and my parents are concerned about my health. Even though I don't weigh as much as she did and have less health problems, I'm the only child left so they are going to worry.
So, this program and weight loss is for me first, my parents second, and in memory of my sister who did not have the mental or physical strength to take her own weight loss journey.
I love movies & reading & spending time with friends.
My family is in the Midwest & I'm on the East Coast - by myself (except for the cats that is!)
I also had to have my gallbladder removed (hereditary issues) on 3/14/13 and it had set me back but I'm slowly getting back to what I love most - exercising and being healthy!
