I am trying to get healthier so I live long enough to watch my kids grow up (and keep up with them). I decided this was the year to start eating better. I have had a bump in the year with the passing of my mom, but I am back on track.

Once I get to 225, I want to go for a skydive! All I can say is look out below!!!

After letting life take over I have gained back everything (at least not and plus) but it is time to get back into ...

After letting life take over I have gained back everything (at least not and plus) but it is time to get back into the program. I really enjoyed what spark offers and do beleive in the program.

I have started to track my intake. I feel this is one of the biggest issues that I have lost control over.

2014 has not been freindly to me physically. I have had tedonitis in my shoulders and knee issues that required surgery in May. I never got active again until September.

Now I am getting back to running. I have signed up for a 5k in November and would like to do a half marathon next year.

My wife did a sprint triathalon in August and I think that is what is starting to inspire me. She talked me into taking a tri swim class and I really struggled. Guess some people are meant to be on land!

I really hope that as I reach my goal this time I am able to transition into maintenance better.

My Program:
I do Cardio (running) 3 days a week, and I go to the Gym 2 days a week. I am starting to work in some swimming at the Gym as well.

I log all my food in Sparkpeople. I find that this is one of the biggest keys for me.

Grew up in MN, went to college in WI, lived in IL Moved to CA 17 years ago and love it!

I live north of LA in a little city called Moorpark.

Busy with my two boys and spending time with them and my wife as a family.

I LOVE PIZZA! I won't abandon it either...ever, ever, ever.

Funny thing about the calorie ranges, I was told two/three weeks ago to eat at the top of my range and that would help me, but it didn't. So, I dropped to the bottom/middle of my range this week because last time I did that, I dropped 2.8 in a week, but it didn't help this week either.

I think I just need to not stress myself out so much with being in any range and just eat what feels right for the day. *shrugs* We'll see how I feel next week (or in the next five minutes for that matter).

Hey!

Thanks for the comment on my blah blog the other day. I'm feeling better today. My boyfriend had a day off work for the first time in weeks (he's self-employed) so spending some couple's time lightened my mood.

I talked to him about how unhappy/bored I am and we decided to invest in some online courses for me to learn how to do some things to help him with his business. Nothing crazy, just how to make DVDs and titles and captions, etc. So that will give me something to learn, then something to do (until I find a real job) and it will save us money since he has to hire people to do those things.

My hotel closed down July of 2008 and the hotel / hospitality industry has not picked up and is not hiring upper-level management right now. The few jobs that are available I'm way overqualified for.

I was hired to be the Sales/Marketing Director for a restaurant (to remain unnamed) last summer, but they were way understaffed and my manager had the attitude of "sales/marketing stuff is extra, these customers are here now and I need you to (fill in blank) NOW." The blank would be anything from serving/bussing tables to actually making the food or mopping the floors. Nearly every day I was getting in my car and delivering bags food at lunchtime. And then he would get on my case because I wasn't very good at those jobs. So after four months of that I quit and haven't been working since.

Hopefully something permanent will come around soon. But at least now I have something new to learn and I'll be helping my boyfriend.
