2009 is the Start of a New Me
I am 27 years old. I am a single mom to 2 beautiful children aged 6 and 8. I work full time and attend school part time. I didn't always struggle with my weight. It wasn't until highschool and after having children that the weight just piled on. 2009 is the year that I am making the change to get the weight off. I am tired of sitting on the sidelines of life instead of on the field playing. My goal is to lose 50 pounds by the end of 2009 or by Feb/March 2010. I know I can do it. I have tried ...
I am 27 years old. I am a single mom to 2 beautiful children aged 6 and 8. I work full time and attend school part time. I didn't always struggle with my weight. It wasn't until highschool and after having children that the weight just piled on. 2009 is the year that I am making the change to get the weight off. I am tired of sitting on the sidelines of life instead of on the field playing. My goal is to lose 50 pounds by the end of 2009 or by Feb/March 2010. I know I can do it. I have tried numerous diet plans, but found that I don't stick to them that long. I am sick of this weight gain roller coaster and want to get off the ride for once and for all....The plan I am following is Jenny Craig meal plan and Curves eating plan of counting calories. Curves eating plan helps to speed up your metabolism. I drink at least 64 oz of water. I exercise a min of 3-5 days at Curves and walk most nights of the week for 1 hour or so. My Goals:
My goal is to lose 50-60 pounds and get down to my goal weight of 155-160 pounds. I am currently a size 16 and would like to get down to an 8/10. I also want to tone my body. I want to be healthy physically, emotional, and spirtually.
My Program:
I am following the Jenny Craig meal plan and Curves eating plan of counting calories. I drink 64 oz of water a day minimun. Eating at least 5 fruits or veggies. Eating whole grains and lean protein. I exercise min 3-5 days at Curves on the circuit doing cardio and strength training in addition to getting in a walk 30-60 min most nights of the week. I also read the book by Judith Beck on retraining our brain to think like a thin person. It is pretty much about changing our thinking so that we change our actions. It is really helping me to stop grabbing for food when I am not hungry.
Personal Information:
I am from Maryland. I am 5'6 and starting weight 217pds.
Other Information:
I love to read books by Nora Roberts, David Bach and others. I like to do crafts. I currently make my own bath and body products. I am in the process of setting up a page on Etsy.com to sell my products.
