Just turned 34, and my Husband and I are starting to think it's time for our Family to grow. So I am here to declare that I am going to make healthy choices and stick with them. It is a must! I am no longer going to make excuses or think of how good that is going to taste "maybe I will have just what I want". It is not always about what one wants. Even God does provide for us what we want, but provides what we NEED all the time. It is time for me to realize what I need and want when it comes to food are two different things. There now I have said it out loud and typed it too!!

Here is to a new era of my life!!

My Goals:
I plan on watching my portions. I do not need to eat as much as I think I do. I plan on choosing heathly snacks, with an occassional splurge as a reward. I plan on keeping my calories down on Saturday's, my goal is to stay under 1800 calories.

My Program:
Eat Right, excercise and hopefully get good rest.

Personal Information:
I am 34 years old and 5'10.5" tall (I am very proud of that .5"). I have struggled with my weight since High School. I started High School at 160lbs; my lowest weight was 135 that same year, I was 13. My highest was 265 when I was 22, I was 160-165 when I was 18. This was when I loved myself most; I was in College, I was very active. I was involved with the Track team and always kept busy. Between School, workouts and working a split shift to make ends meet I know now that I did not eat well. Needless to say I kept up my bad habits once I left college and stopped working out, within a few years I found myself sick with Mono and by the end of that I was at least 100lbs over weight and it was hard to do everything; Even walking up the stairs was a challenge. Thank God for my husband, then fiance, he stayed by my side and kept me going. He got me outdoors once a week, this kicked my butt and somedays I would cry because it was so hard. I think he helped save my life.

Hoping all is well with you both and that your holidays arn't very stressful. ..... I got in a nice prairie hike a couple of weeks ago and posted a few pix for everyone to view. I believe the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve will be my snow hike this year. .......... Keep hiking!

Hope all is well and healthy in your neck of the woods. Thought I'd stop by and say howdy and see if you both have been hitting any trails lately. I've hit a couple and am trying to find some longer ones close by. Only a month away till the week long one in Colorado. Happy trails to ya both!
