Starting looking (seriously) at my health last year. Have lost 42 lbs and 8 inches around my waist, but still have a ways to go. My wife and I workout fairly regularly (its hard for me with school now), we try to do a short (3-5 mile) hike each week, and are now getting into Kayaking. BUT as a former chef, I love to eat (and snack) which is killing me.

hi! When I finally got it in my head that I am competing with myself to make myself better and not anyone else...well this device is a great motivator...and I am a numbers geek, so it really keeps me going. I will look at my watch and if I don't like the numbers it really ^&*%^ me off.
