I have a renewed sense of determination to persistently pursue my goals this year. I want to be able to say at the end of 2018, WOW, you really stayed focused and met the challenge.

For every 8 pounds I lose I will give myself a non food related reward.

1. new hairstyle
2. new workout clothes
3. new bathing suit
4. new pretty underwear
5. book a trip to somewhere fun
6. beauty makeover
7. buy a whole new wardrobe and throw out the old clothes

I have revamped my list from 2017, and now on to 2018.

My Goals:
Jan 2018 Goals for this year.

1. Get more active. This means add more steps on my FitBit

2. Spend 1/2 hour per day outdoors.

3. Strengthen my core and do more stretching activities.

4. Write 1 blog per week.

5. Spend more time reading and writing and less time crocheting

6. Work out 5 times per week.

My Program:
1. Stay within 1300-1550 calories per day

2. Exercise 5 days a week, - 3 days of jogging or walking and 3 days of strength training

3. Keep posting in my food journal - daily

4. Encourage other people on Spark as much as possible

5. Eat 8 freggies per day

6. Continue drinking 8 glasses of water per day

7. Concentrate on conquering emotional eating by:
a) blogging about it
b) reading other peoples blogs to motivate me
c) not disappearing from Spark when times get rough
d) Stop after any 1 time of binging and think about why it has happened and what I can do to prevent it the next time it might happen, then write about this

8. Run/Walk 50K steps per week.

    No offense taken! You never have to worry about that :) I was actually encouraged by your comments and grateful for how quickly I moved through the process of thinking about it and quickly moving on. Haha, one of the benefits of stopping projects before I really get started.

    Thanks for joining the challenge! I'll let you decide if squats will aggravate your sore hip or be good therapy or if you should swap them for a core or upper body move. Pushups or curls maybe?

    Joann, thank you for the note on my blog. I’m happy to say I’ve let the extra stuff go. I know when I have too many irons in the fire that nothing goes well. So, I’m focusing on me. I’ll host some fitness and mindset challenges because they are good and motivating for me. But I’m not interested in manufacturing unnecessary stress. The idea of building an empire is cool, but the headaches are not.

    I hope to wow you again with my fitness. I miss that!
