Since June, I've made progress and part of me finds it hard to believe. I've dropped 27 pounds, but now I've stalled and have returned to some on my "stress" eating. Yet I've learned a few things over the last months - one being that I don't feel well when I overeat. Another is that only the first couple of bites of a food I desire really tastes great and after that I'm just stuffing, trying for those first few stimulating flavors. With that understanding, I'm able to eat a whole lot less! ...

With that understanding, I'm able to eat a whole lot less! Also, during the time I was doing so well, every day I read my cards which detailed my motivations and ideas. This gave me hope and sense of control.

My Goals:
I'm looking to lose 5 pounds - then to reward myself! It's strange though - I don't follow through and get that reward. I promised myself a pricey new lipstick, then a manicure - I'm ten pound behind on getting my rewards.

My Program:
This has been years of making changes and now that I using the Beck Diet book, I'm finding more success. I started with using WW points, but having lost my oomph, I may need to go to a back up plan.

Personal Information:
Mid-50's; mother of two, one still at home; great relationship with husband - we still know how to have fun together; career I love which takes a great deal of my time and energy; growing in faith which is helping me with the needed changes to get healthy

Other Information:
Love to travel and visit family; love to read; enjoy my dog; love my job; have great friends - wish I could see them more often
