Finding my way back...

First and foremost- you have to be able to enjoy life! I will not "give up" food groups. I cannot imagine life without certain foods and imagining that life makes me want to cry. That diet isn't gonna work! Enter "Spark"..

I am a mother to three wonderful kids. As we mothers know, our bodies take a beating during pregnancy. Sadly, I am one who has never been the same since. I took the backseat for many years.

I have tried every FAD diet under the sun and finally decided that I needed something REAL. Something that was more realistic. I needed something that would allow me to make one meal a night and fulfill my desire for my kids to be healthy as well as myself. No more cutting out food groups.

I joined spark recently in hopes to find that life long "partner" if you will. I would like to lost around 60 pounds for sure. Of course more would be nice, but "more" seems like a mountain at this point. My doctor would like to see me lose about 90 pounds...that seems very overwhelming!

My Goals:
My goal is to overcome the backsliding that I inevitably experienced between 4-6 months in to my exercise/eating better plan. It's almost as though I sabotage myself when I am close to first goals.

My Program:
Trying to find the balance!
Cardio 3x a week
Strength Training 2x a week.

Lots of veggies, lean meats, fruits, whole grains, healthy fats like nuts, olive oils.

Most importantly- NO DEPRIVATION!

Personal Information:
I am a mom and wife, I work full time outside of the home, I am finishing up a degree and trying to get healthy. I have let my stress get the best of me...I ATE MY EMOTIONS! no joke...I ate to celebrate, I ate to mourn, I ate to cheer up, I ate because I was bored. What a difficult cycle to break!

Other Information:
I feel like there is a skinny girl inside me just screaming to get out...especially since I LOVE clothes and shoes that are targeted for that body type.
