Ready to lose the weight, for good!

Well I'm back again. Let's see if this time, I can make a serious go at this. I've bounced around 250-265 for several years now...recent stress and bad eating have ballooned me up to 275. I'm approaching my 40th birthday in November. It's hard sometimes to get up and try again when I only seem to be getting older and fatter. I think many here are in the same boat. Somewhere inside, there's till a little voice calling out saying "Hey, this is the thin you...I need you to let me out again!" ...

I'm approaching my 40th birthday in November. It's hard sometimes to get up and try again when I only seem to be getting older and fatter. I think many here are in the same boat. Somewhere inside, there's till a little voice calling out saying "Hey, this is the thin you...I need you to let me out again!"

I think the last time I was here, I got too bogged down in the micro-management of calories. The Food Tool is amazing, and I did really enjoy tracking everything, but it ended up taking too long and became discouraging when things I ate defied easy break-down into some tracker categories.

This time I will be using prepared food plans, and not tracking to the calorie tools. That way, I hope to simplify the food shopping / prep / eating / tracking. All of that take too long and makes me want to eat the fast, easy stuff...all of which is horrible for the waste line.

Also, this time I will attempt to stay off of processed foods more. I never believed it matter, but so many people say it makes a difference to eat fresh. I tried Nutrisystem in 2011/2012, but it ended up tasting to godawful to go on.

So anyway, I hope this time to make the difference I need. Wish me luck.

I'm originally from St. Louis, MO, where my parents still live. I travel back at least once a year to see family.

I'm here in the Philly, PA area, which is where my daughter's mother is from. I'm a single parent with joint custody and cherish my time with my 13-year-old daughter.

I feel this site will really help me get my weight under control and am excited to explore it's combination fitness tools and community support.
