I am currently working on changing my lifestyle. I am overweight and have blamed it on pregnancies for years. Now my youngest child is 8 and the excuse is old.

When I was younger, I always said I did not want to be overweight like many of the people I know. However, here I am weighing more than those people do. I have seen the stress the weight has put on their bodies and the health issues they have had due to that weight. I don't want to go through the same thing.

I have recently noticed my children picking up my same eating habits and immediately want to break these habits. The best way...be an example.

I took a break due to some illness and injuries but am back and ready to go!

My Goals:
My overall goal is to lose 60-70 lbs.

My short-term goal is to lose 1% of my body weight each week.

I have 2 very active children and I want to be able to keep up with them and be a role model for them and their fitness.

2014 Resolutions Summary:

1. Develop a closer relationship with God.

3. Organize my home and life.
4. End the year in a better financial situation.
5. Help my children act more responsibly.

Personal Information:
I am 40 years old, married and have 2 kids ages 9 and 11. My children are very active in sports and I want to be active with them. I am married to a wonderful husband of 13 years that supports me in all ways.

I have started and stopped my attempt to lose weight so many times it is ridiculous. I am commited this time to making a lifestyle change.

Other Information:
I love music of all kinds. I play the piano and would love to learn guitar but haven't managed that yet.

I love to read, to the point it could be called an addiction, which does not lead to an active lifestyle.

I am tired of being fat and the effects it has had on my life.

Thanks for the blog love and support. You are right, you have those days. I have been having one too many of those and then people can't always relate b/c everyone doesn't have kids or if they did, they had them at a different time in their lives so they may of stood home. It's hard some days.
