Motivated and READY!

My name is Janet and I used to be 306 pounds. I've already lost more that 100 pounds the hard way... diet and exercise. the last 50 won't move. Because I didn't have surgery I don't have the option to get my ring tightened or eat only a spoonful of food at every meal. I need motivation and encouragement on a daily basis. I'm hoping this is where I find it!

My Goals:
My Goals??? I want to be healthy and happy. I need to set a good example for my son. I need to be around to see all of the amazing things I know he will do. On a lighter note, I want to run the Crescent City Classic without collapsing half way through!

My Program:
I have tried every single diet known to man. The only thing that works for me is higher protein and smart carbs. I exercise every single day and sometimes have to force myself to keep going.

Personal Information:
I'm from Houma Louisiana. Its a great little town south of New Orleans. I'm here on Spark looking to make new friends who have the same issues, goals and desires. Not everybody "gets it".

Thanks for the suggestions! I have been stalled for about 2 months and I'm eager to see the numbers on the scale move.

Janet, you've done an awesome job so far. The lower you get the harder it gets. Keep on plugging away and the pounds will go away. Other things to try to break a plateau or even just the fear of boredom. Change up your workout routine. Sometimes just a little tweak will make a big difference. Also change up your eating a little. When we eat the same thing over and over our bodies get accustomed to it. Vary your calorie intake from day to day. One day be on the low end of your range and on the next the high, things like that. Good luck to you and I'm sure that you can get it done. You've already come over half way.
