No more excuses...

Although I've been here a couple of times before I'm back with a mission in mind.

I was always a thin child and then in junior high I started gaining weight. It seemed that every year when I went school shopping I had to buy the next size up in clothes. This continued into my adult life. When I was dating my now husband I managed to drop alot of weight and was feeling pretty good about myself. By the time we got married I had gained about 60 pounds. I was always a thin child and then in junior high I started gaining weight. It seemed that every year when I went school shopping I had to buy the next size up in clothes. This continued into my adult life. When I was dating my now husband I managed to drop alot of weight and was feeling pretty good about myself. By the time we got married I had gained about 60 pounds. Now 20 years later I find myself at my highest weight ever.

I now have 2 wonderful sons, a beauftiful daughter in law and 2 of the most precious grandaughters one could ever have. I find it difficult at the age of 48 to keep up with my little girls.

I have outgrown my clothes in my closet and I refuse to go and buy any bigger. I have high blood pressure and I hurt everyday. My hips hurt so bad somedays that I find it difficult to even walk let alone get down on the floor and play with my girls.

Yesterday was my oldest grandaughters 4th birthday party and when I saw myself in the pictures I wanted to crawl under a rock. Although I'm not happy with what I see in the mirror everyday, I hadn't realized that I really looked like that.

I know that there is only one way to change all of the above and there is only one person that can do it. So, here I am back for another round, the last round!

That's the attitude! You can do this! I don't know why I resisted living a healthy style of life for so long. It does so many positive things for me. I am so excited for you. Write all of these positive thing down and keep them where you can see them. If you have a down day use that list to remind yourself of the up side to living healthy. I am doing that right now. I have started into what looks like a plateau. I have stayed the same for two weeks. But that happens. I am staying the course and continuing my healthy habits of eating properly and exercising. In time the plateau always breaks and I have a great weight loss. Keep up the great work of taking care of yourself. The benefit outweigh everything else. emoticon emoticon emoticon
