I saw your comment about fearing food with complicated grief. I recently met a widow who had bad food at a Sr. Living Facility and is now afraid to eat the food here. I am coaching her to eat one thing at a time. Don't try to eat a whole meal. Start with soup, fruit or veggies you know you have enjoyed in the past. Eat small portions. Stay away from hard to digest meat until your stomach gets back on track, but you want solid food. Eggs are always good for protein and vitamins. You will find that your appetite comes back and you are hungry. When my husband died, I lost almost 80 lbs. I understand not wanting to eat, but you have a mission that has not been fulfilled. We need you to get stronger. emoticon

Responding to your post in our group, I love bean sprouts in Asian foods & I wanted to share that Eating Well has a free stir fry recipe book at

    http://www.eatingwell.com/free_downloads

They have a free membership online with tons of ideas and recipes other than the few in that cookbook.
