Thanks for reading the blog -- it can be very frustrating to keep losing that same 2 to 5 pounds. Yet that is exactly what we are doing when we continually let the temptations get to us. And what a waste of time it all boils down to. Next week, or next month, what difference will it make if we skipped eating a piece of birthday cake? Of course let's say we DID eat it, next week it might still be with us. lol
Smart of you to explain what all those initials mean behind your name, interesting too. I was once married to the guy who started the Submarine Division in San Diego (Pt. Loma) he has since passed away.
OK, This is what STSCS(SS)(DV) means: STS = Sonar Technician Submarines (like "Jonesy" on Hunt for Red October) CS = Senior Chief (E8 out of E9 enlisted rank, "Jonesy" was an upstart (smart) E3. The COB in the movie (Chief of the Boat) was the senior enlisted on a crew and is often an E9 although all E9's are not the COB) (ss) = Submarine Qualified (dolphin insignia) (dv) = Diver qualified (each sub has several navy trained/qualified scuba divers to support the submarine especially in foreign ports and non-home ports)
