Breaking away from unhealthy habits....

Hello I am Jennifer from Cleveland, Ohio. I am thirty years old and have had a weight problem my entire life. I am looking to change my life; one small step at a time. Hello I am Jennifer from Cleveland, Ohio. I am thirty years old and have had a weight problem my entire life. I am looking to change my life; one small step at a time. I want to be the healthy, happy person I know I can be. I am not looking for a diet to follow or really to even track anything. It never works for me. I am on here to find friendship and support on my journey of weightloss. I have been listening to Inside Out Weightloss: A podcast on Itunes and I believe in it and follow the philosophy. It teaches one to really tune into the underlying symptoms for needing to keep weight on. Overeating and underexercising is a symptom of the problem, not the actual problem!

I am single with no children. I work as a Registered Nurse. I own the BEST chocolate lab in the world!! His name is Bailey~ We love to go for walks in the park and to swim. I also love to ride my bike. I am looking for support and friendship through this journey I am embarking on.

FYI - I just want to caution you.......Gastric Bypass is no magic cure for obesity! I have to work hard every day since surgery 2 1/2 years ago. Gastric Bypass is a wonderful tool but I have to exercise everyday! I have to track my food to make certain I am getting in my protein and liquids and to make certain my calorie level is where my doctor wants it to be. I have never worked so hard on eating, exercise and tracking my foods as I am now. emoticon But it was worth it.

Welcome to Gastric Bypass Sparklers! You’ll find plenty of support and encouragement here. No question is too stupid to ask, so post away and we’ll all put in our two cents worth. Utilize all the tools SP has to offer. I find tracking my food and exercise most helpful. Good luck on your weight loss journey!
