Exploring the Possibilites

I am ready to change and live a better life. I have been overweight for the past 13 years. I would like my 3 youngest children to be able to see me at a "normal" weight and not feel embarrassed by me. I would like to feel attractive again and feel like I look good in addition to feeling good.

I am dedicated to this journey to shed these pounds and make some much needed changes in my life. While I am dedicated, I do struggle on a daily basis.

Here still rooting for you! Many times we don't make a real change in our lives until we are ready. It took me three months before I was willing to track my food. Tracking my food was a huge step towards being honest and caring about myself. I didn't change what I ate, just wrote it down... and that process changed me. It had a lot of aha momments. Hang in there. Breath. I remember thinking of an analogy. I would always find myself in a hole. And I would pick up a shovel and try to dig myself out. I had to learn things in little steps. One was to stop doing the same thing over and over because it wasn't working. Put down the shovel. I had to ask for help and get someone to throw me a line. But I still kept falling into the hole. Now, I avoid the street where the hole is so I don't fall in. Baby steps. Be patient with yourself.

Thinking of you. You know, there is no failure, just practice until we learn to do it right. It is a learning curve and sometimes we have to be ready for the next step.
