So! Here we go again.
...Again.
Lost about 30lbs on Jenny Craig in 2009. Health and monetary issues led to regaining about half of it back in 2010.

Seriously, though - this has been one bumpy ride, but itís time to get back up on the horse. Iíve picked up a bunch of new workout games for the Wii, and have been doing them regularly. Iím tracking my food intake regularly here on SparkPeople. I havenít reduced my caloric intake significantly, ...
So! Here we go again.
...Again.

Seriously, though - this has been one bumpy ride, but itís time to get back up on the horse. Iíve picked up a bunch of new workout games for the Wii, and have been doing them regularly. Iím tracking my food intake regularly here on SparkPeople. I havenít reduced my caloric intake significantly, but Iím eating less in the way of naughty things, and more of good things.
Iím ready to make a comeback, to lose those pounds I regained and continue to my original goal.

*Update, 8/6/11
I have reduced my caloric intake (not, like, scary reduced, but I'm tracking regularly and doing my best to stay within my suggested ranges. Been doing well, so far), have worked out 4 times this week (which was my goal), have started all my trackers from scratch, and am really committing myself to this. It's a whole new world, and I'm not going to let what's happened before affect what happens next. Already down 2lbs, and it's only been a week - can't wait to see what happens next! :-)

*Update, 2/08/12
Itís been a rockier road than usual, the past several months; after having my gall bladder removed in July, I felt greatÖ for about 2 months. Then I had a whole heck of a lot of GI distress for several months, to the point where pretty much every time I ate, I got sick. Not fun!
So, except for the rare ingestion of stealth gluten, plus a week in January where I decided my improvement was due to a prescription and had nothing to do with the dietary change (I was wrong), Iíve been gluten-free since November. Iím not all better, but Iím significantly improved. Other than still having acid reflux problems, and my usual issues with chronic sinus infections and chronic pain, Iím feeling pretty good.
LOL! Funny, what you can consider ďgood,Ē but youíve gotta play the cards youíre dealt, right?
I purchased the BodyMedia Fit Core Armband last night; weíll have to see what it adds (or doesnít) to my weight-loss journey. Iím hoping itíll help to keep me consistent; historically, about the only thing Iím consistent about is NOT being consistent.
Well, here we go, kids. Watch this space! When Iíve got more to share, Iíll let you know! :-)

*update 8/11/12
So, yeah... the dietary issues eventually got to me. Finding gluten-free food isn't as hard as it once was, but finding gluten-free food that hasn't replaced the gluten with massive quantities of fat is pretty challenging. I eventually got frustrated, and fell back into old habits; went over 180 recently. So, trying to start over, yet again. More as things progress....

my heart rate tracker is on my Garmin 305. It's my running gps, and it comes with a chest strap. BodyMedia is set up to upload information from my garmin, so I try to remember to upload my info after I run

You'll never believe this, but you know how I finally found this doc? Google! I had periodically searched Blue Cross and of course came up with nothing within its parameters. Then i just Googled "integrative physicians Chicago," he was one who came up, and THEN I put his name into BCBS's search directory, and bingo. Maybe you could try this! But of course I can also ask him at my follow-up. :)

Please do what you can to feel better as well (I KNOW what you mean about being hungry underneath the tummy pain -- so weird!) and keep me posted too!

Hey, girl! Thanks for commenting on my fibro blog -- and thanks for GETTING my fear and near-skepticism! I'm sorry the reason you get it is because of your own pain. Just the other day I almost asked you whether you've ever asked a doc about fibro! *breathes* I do think this could be it -- it does explain EVERYTHING in the way nothing else has -- I guess I am still just in transition. I am tired of learning new things and new ways to live! LOL Anyway, gentle hugs back to you. Any news on your persistent gastro distress? I think I am a bit behind on your blogs.
