On August 12 2012 I was on Mile 94 of a century ride. I was sucking the boyfriends wheel so going close to 21 mph. Somehow I managed to fall off the asphalt into a gravel turnaround, I couldn't unclip my pdals so tried jumping back onto the blacktop. Next thing I know I was lying in the middle of the road in pain. Turns out I had shattered my collarbone and broken 3 ribs. Next thing I know I was lying in the middle of the road in pain. Turns out I had shattered my collarbone and broken 3 ribs. Stoic me thought it would heal on its own but finally I gave in and had surgery on the 26th of October. The pain pills made me nauseaus(sp?), and the antibiotics made me contract c-diff, which together-and the reason I am even writing this hear-go down from 148 to 119 in less than a month. What is truly remarkable about all this is I still feel, felt fat. I am around 124 now and would like to hold this weight and am upset I gained those 5 pounds back. Its just crazy, before this happened I would hve been overjoyed to hit my goal weight of 135 now I am thinking I am such a pig for going up 5 pounds even though 11 under my goal and ontop of it all I still look in the mirror at my body in disgust. I have one more surgery to go, not scheduled yet, afterwards I should be able to work out, currently all I can do is the recumbant bike maybe when I can get some tone back I will be happy with the inadvertant losses.

My Goals:
I think of my comfort weight as being 135 and I am 3 pounds away from that but my "race" weight is 129 and I am not aspiring to get that lean I wouldnt mind begin 130 (hahahah)

My Program:
I am following the calorie recommendations here on the Spark I also have been getting help in consistancy for cardio by joining a couple of spark teams. Though I am doing this for me and just myself I find it motivating to "keep up with the Jones'", so to speak.

There's another that I neglected to mention. Starting now you can be ready! The Soldier Ride on September 17th. Checkout www.soldierride.org. I'm in the process of trying to form a team from Wenatchee. I have no idea if anyone will be as excited as I am. The website doesn't say the mileage, but I called back east and there will be a 25 mile and a 50 miles in Seattle.
