Ma-na-Ma-na!

I live to laugh. Laughter and positivity really can help you through those pain-filled days, along with Spark pals and loved ones.

I have a rare disease (Erythromelalgia) that affects my life daily, and has sent me into a funk for far too long! I joined Spark in April of 2011 and LOVE the support and resources. I will get back my healthy life, no matter what illness I live with.

I'm hoping to stay active regardless, get my toosh moving, and hopefully inspire others as ...

My Goals:
1. Live for each day. TRULY. You just don't know when your health will wander off to some secret place. Note to self: find out where it went!

2. Get my emotional eating off my mind and re-learn better behavior around food. Update 9/6/11: Still a day to day battle, but I have tools and Spark friends to FIGHT!

3. Cheer on anyone who needs it. I'll bust out some virtual pom poms and try to motivate you since I am getting support from Spark myself! Woo Woo!

4. Run in the rain with a healed foot - woohoo!

My Program:
I work out 5-6 days a week (currently) via low impact/no impact exercises with my EM and CRPS, and try to not push both into red line pain for me.

I stick to a healthy low refined carb, low sugar, low fat and high protein lifestyle for 6 days a week and try relax a bit on Saturdays.

Personal Information:
GOOFBALL. Be warned!

Other Information:
I looooove monkeys!!! Does that count as interesting???

Hi Bren, Thanks so much for your comments on my Raw Honesty blog. I'm so glad that my journey has helped and inspired you! I'm really just sharing from my heart because I want to share with my friends and also hopefully, maybe I can help someone else.

I think sometimes people (including some Christians) think that - when you're a Christian - you turn into some sort of robot that isn't affected by anything anymore, or like we don't have struggles. The Lord made us human beings with emotions just like Him. He knows what we go through and He understands. Now I know He wants us to learn to handle the storms of life in a stronger way where we do not fear and we just trust that He is taking care of us. But to get to THAT place of trust and rest without fear is a JOURNEY; it is a process. I handle many things better now than I did 10 years ago, and better than 5 years ago, etc. but I am still learning and growing. As I learn and grow, the Lord continually shows me His love and His faithfulness. Hard things do happen in this life - this world is not perfect - but God has made things such that He wants us to partner with Him, using the "weapons" of spiritual warfare that He's provided - and He WILL bring us through and He WILL deliver us. His plans for us ARE good, not for evil in our lives. Even with my pain over Missy... the Lord HAS been healing me from that loss... it took time because of my own way of dealing (or not dealing) but He has been healing that hurt and pain, and even as I carried the burden of missing her, I know He carried ME. :) I know too that He will help me with all the other issues I am still dealing with. Sending love to you, sweetie... will continue praying for you and your Olive and all your concerns! Love you! emoticon emoticon
