My family at Santa Cruz, Sept 2006.
Married, 2 teenage daughters. My wife and I both work, our younger daughter is a state-level gymnast, and we're remodeling our home. Between family responsibilities and construction activity I don't have much time for exercise, except for bicycle commuting.
I'm trying to get back to my healthy lean/fat ratio and gain flexibility. I'm also focusing on healthier eating--more vegetables, less starch and sugar.
I recently restarted the Protein Power plan. Trying to lift weights 5-6 days per week. My cardiovascular workout of choice is bicycling. I commute by bicycle almost every weekday, but it's only ~25 minutes each way at low intensity.
I'd like to get back into yoga for flexibility, muscle tone, and relaxation.
I'm a desk jockey at Sacramento State University. Finishing up a major remodel/addition on our house. Hopefully we'll complete the first phase of the remodel over the summer of 2008.
I've got way too many hobbies and passions to list in this little box! Maybe just a (partial) list of my hobbies, in no particular order: boardgaming, cooking, model railroading, quilting, Lego (especially Mindstorms i.e. Lego robots), wood working, bicycling, languages (English, Esperanto, French, maybe German, Arabic, and Swedish someday), R/C (radio control) sailplanes and airplanes.

I used to be a computer programmer... working insane hours, for years! I quit my job, bought a janitorial business and some real estate, an viola... here I am, self employed. The janitorial business didn't last long, just long enough to get my RE cash flow up. I invest in raw ground that can be developed and other fixer uppers.
Do you program? if so, what is your language of choice? Are in IS? if so, hopefully you have a bunch of macs to manage. I am still a Microsoft OS guy, but edging ever closer to my fir Mac.
Good luck to you and your wife in your goals.
