It's been a while since I've updated this. Probably because I don't have a whole lot to say. I have been having a lot of pain in my knee, so my activity level has been pretty low for the past few months. But, the good news is, I am going to have a full knee replacement in August. I know it will be rough at first, but I'm so excited. I have been living with this pain for so many years, trying to get through life with it, but lately, it's been painful to walk, painful to even sit, and sleeping has been a thing of the past. So, 6 weeks from now, I anticipate beginning a whole new phase in my life, and I'm very excited.
I read all the blogs about running, and I have never, ever been a runner. I love walking, but the past 9 months, since I've become truly active and consistent on SP, I have gained the desire to run. With my knee the way it's been, running has not even been an option, which has only increased my desire. A new knee could very well give me the opportunity to explore this new-found desire, and I am so looking forward to it. I guess I didn't realize just how much the pain and limitations were weighing me down, until the surgery was scheduled, and I saw an end in sight. I feel like a whole new life is waiting for me on the other side. Yay!!!

Thanks for the pedicure. I truly need one. I should make that a goal reward. Thanks for the idea!

Thanks for adding me as a friend, and congrats on the knee surgery. I so take my wonderfully functioning body for granted, focusing too much on how it looks, until , one by one, the parts start to NOT function so wonderfully! My knees got chondramalatia in my 30's, not severe enough a problem to require surgery, but definitely making any high impact or pivoting/lunging moves unwise. ( If you look back at my blogs from March/April, you will see I got it into my head to jog, which I was stoked about, until... ouch...I guess not!)
