Jill's Weight Loss Journey!

I'm a mom of 4 wonderful kids, looking to get off all this extra baby weight. I have a great support in my husband who is helping me push myself to my goal, even though he thinks I'm perfect the way I am. I'm not only doing it so I can like the image I see in the mirror, but I'm also doing it for my kids. I want to be able to run and jump and play with them and not wear out or have to sit on the side lines. I want to be healthy for them, so I can be around for many years (whether they like ...

I have a great support in my husband who is helping me push myself to my goal, even though he thinks I'm perfect the way I am. I'm not only doing it so I can like the image I see in the mirror, but I'm also doing it for my kids. I want to be able to run and jump and play with them and not wear out or have to sit on the side lines. I want to be healthy for them, so I can be around for many years (whether they like it or not..lol). I am really set to get this change in my life now!!

When I first started Spark almost 2 years ago, I weighed in at 221 lbs. I wasn't sure how long it'd take me to reach my goal, but I wanted to get down to at least 160 lbs. I was disgraced at myself for getting above 200, something I told myself I'd never do. In mid-April 2008, I reached my first goal of 200 lbs, next step was Onederland. But I couldn't quite hit it, that's when we found out our 4th and final surprise would be blessing our family. January 2009, I restarted Spark at 213 lbs and by August I was weighing in at 182 (even hit 180 once). I fell off the weight loss train for personal reasons, however, I found out that I can maintain my weight... until the holidays that is. I stayed at an average of 183 until after Thanksgiving. Now I've come back to Spark for my 3rd, and hopefully final, time to finish what I started nearly 2 years ago. 2010, I WILL hit 160 and maybe even down to 150 (still toying with that idea). Ideally, I'd like to be 160 by June for a wedding, but any loss is an improvement!

I look forward to meeting many more wonderful people here on Spark. Everyone I do know is amazing support and help! I hope to have a great time and to get healthy through the support of SparkPeople!

Current Weight Stats
Re-Re-Starting Weight 1/4 - 196 (up 14 from Aug :( )
1/8 - 188 (due to being sick, but I'll take it!)
1/15 - 192 (not sure if this is upsetting since last weeks loss was due to illness. Right on plan with this loss!)
1/22 - 189 :)

Goal Weight - 160

Weight I've lost in terms of food with the following formula:
1 lb = 4 squares of butter
5 lbs = 1 sack of potatoes
10 lbs = 8 medium cantalopes
25 lbs = 3 gallons of milk

2/9/08 - I lost my 1st sack of potatoes
2/29/08 - I lost my 1st 8 medium cantalopes
3/20/09 - I lost my 1st 3 gallons of milk
4/10/09 - I lost 3 gallons of milk and 1 sack of potatoes
6/26/09 - I lost 3 gallons of milk and 8 medium cantalopes

My Goals:
I want to be happy looking in the mirror. I want to go clothes shopping and not dread the trip to the dressing room. I want to be able to be active with my kids! I want my husband to be proud to have me on his arm (even though he already is, I want him to be even more proud). I want to be healthier and not have to worry about as many health risks. But most of all, I just want to be happy with me!

My Program:
I am doing Weight Watchers Flex Points for my food program. Working out will include the treadmill, Wii Fit and hopefully soon, Wii Fit Plus. I also want to try to work out at the campus gym at school.

Personal Information:
I live on a dairy farm in the middle of nowhere, about an hour East of St. Louis. I stay at home with my 4 beautiful children. Needless to say, I'm always busy!

Other Information:
Reached first mini goal 4/16/08 - 200 lbs!
Reached Onederland 2/20/09 - 199 lbs!
Reached the 180's 5/29/09 - 187 lbs!

Im good. Got in another 1 mile walk/run. It is so nice to be able to get outside. I have been making sure to track every morsel of food I put in my mouth, that really helps me alot! emoticon
