Personal Information:
Homeschooling Mom
Became Personal Trainer at 55 years old after nearly 100 lb weight loss.

Battling for my life as I have gained 43 lbs.

I will always have to log my food daily - it's just a fact of my journey. Coming to peace with that and back here on SP to overcome! Again.

Other Information:
6/2006 - 218 lbs. Found Sparkpeople.com through Google search for a "free fitness tracker"

6/2006 - @ 200 lbs. Rejoined our local YMCA and began working out daily

1/25/07 - Lost my Gallbladder 1/27/07

3/26/07 - Emergency Appendectomy

6/09 - Auto Accident

10/09 - Metal Plate & 8 screws put into my neck from car accident injury

6/11 - 238 lbs. - still affected by car accident injury - Dr. Emery, personal trainer, offers to help me at no cost. I was able to lose nearly 100 lbs getting down to 145 and becoming a personal trainer at 54 years old!

Gained 43 lbs because I stopped doing what I need to do to stay fit - after vein surgery went haywire - so I'm back to what works...tracking my food and doing all the things listed under "My Program" No shortcuts, no drugs, no surgery, just clean eating & consistent physical activity.

Thank you all for your comments and support!! That's why SP works!! To IAMAPIANO - I only take 1 meal off a week...not a whole day. This is to boost metabolism and send leptin to the brain...it's kind of a fake out for your body and it truly works. It took me some getting used to, but now I am so grateful as it keeps me from feeling deprived just knowing that 1 meal a week I can have whatever I want without worrying!! Consistency is the key. Making the right choices when it would be easy to give in. I am living intentionally and essentially...and it's rocking my world!! Glad to help anyone...anytime, too!

Hi! I read your post in the 300 Calorie thread. I just wanted to tell you how much I loved your idea of many small meals and one day off. I have been trying to get used to the ~1300 calorie a day Spark has me on. I always feel the need to snack in during the day, since I started exercising more. I like the idea of eating little meals all day. Since you're weight goals are so similar to mine, I just wanted to thank you for the inspiration, as you are doing amazing!
~Thank you!
