Hi Jill! I am back into the program now that I am done with grad school. I didn't stop exercising but need to watch my food intake. I hope you are doing well. My mom and sister are on sparkpeople too now and so if you want a whole Scottish Clan of burly girls who understand, we're here for you. emoticon

Hi! My name is Tanya and I am a certified personal trainer. I was just crusin around sparkpeople and saw a comment from you that you were losing motivation. Couple of words of advice..I hope it helps..:-)
1. PUT YOUR SCALE AWAY!!!!!
2. PUR YOUR SCALE AWAY!!!! haha....seriously, its that important. There are so many ways to see improvement. Body fat %age, body measurements, ability to do things, flexability, etc....The image you have in your mind will come eventually through lots of hard work. It can sometimes take months to see a difference in the scale weight when you start an exercise program because you are gaining muscle you don't have and muscle weighs more than fat. Put your scale away for 90 days, get someone to do your measurements. And keep up the hard work!!!! Consistancy is the key. Good luck!

Welcome to No More Smoking. You have come to the right place for support and friendship. I quit 3 1/2 years ago and feel great. You will too. Just make up your mind to do it and ask God and Jesus to get you through those nasty cravings. It works for me and it will work for you. Good luck with it and God bless you Starr

You go! I know I couldn't have that tiny bit of cake; although some of our Vegas Buffets are beginning to serve that size. We both did great for a first day! emoticon

Hi

My weight loss is up and down, one week I might lose 3 pounds, then the next nothing, then the next gain a pound!
I actually don't eat enough most of the time, but I do my best to try and at least get the minimum.

I was quite consistent when I first started, but it is getting harder.

I try not to go just by the scale it is sooo misleading.
I like to go by the measuring tape and my clothes and how I feel overall..you can lose inches but still weigh the same or even more!
