Before I begin the goals of 2013, I must stop and look back at 2012. So much has changed in the last 12 months. Last December 2011, I weighed in at 262.9. Now I weigh 212.8 down just slightly over 50 pounds. I didn't really start making real changes until July. I have gone down 2.5 sizes.
The biggest change I feel, not see. I feel it when I am working out. That place you reach when you are pushing, and you break through to a new level. Like only being able to do 3 minutes on the elliptical trainer in July, to 23 minutes now. My goal is to be at 45 minutes in December 2013.
My goal weight for December 30, 2013 is 134.8. That is a 1.5 pound loss per week. Seventy-eight pounds. The way to get there is track all food, track all exercise and enjoy each day along the way.
I want to introduce different physical activities. I have recently added cycling to my swimming, walking, treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike and strength training. I want to add inline skating , kayaking and hiking. I will be encouraging my DH, children, sisters, parents and friends to join me.
Nutrition wise, I want to cook more large batch and prepare my lunches rather than rely on Lean cuisines so I can have better control of my nutrients.
I am going to take 12 full body pictures of my self to continue to track my progress.
To continue to see the scale and my clothing size go down. I want to be in a size 14 by the end of 2013.
I am tracking and making healthy choices.
Exercising 5+ days a week
I started using our employee fitness room and spend time with the free weights, weight machines, treadmill, bike and elliptical trainer. Swimming at home or YMCA.
I have lived in SC for all of my adult life.
I have been married for 24 years to Bill. I have 3 wonderful children that bring me so much joy.
We have a cat family, Mutt, Suki, Frido, Abigail, KitKat, and Toby. No More please. And if you are interested in adopting one......

"It is rewarding to find someone you like, but it is essential to like yourself.
It is quickening to recognize that someone is a good and decent human being, but it is indispensable to view yourself as acceptable.
It is a delight to discover people who are worthy of respect and admiration and love, but it is vital to believe yourself deserving of these things."
I hope you're having a good weekend so far, Sparkfriend! I just wanted to stop by and share a couple of great quotes with you. Keep pushing to reach your goals, one day at a time. Always believe that you are worth your absolute best effort...because you are!
"My invitation to you is to begin living every moment as though you are miraculous and deserve to live an extraordinary life.
Fake it if you must and keep faking it until it’s real to you. The gift you will be giving yourself is a lifelong journey of discovery, one that is infinite and infinitely rewarding. Begin the journey. Today. This moment. Now."

"One of the most difficult parts of changing how you live and how you eat is believing that change is possible.
We all say we believe that, but many of us, deep down in our hearts believe that it's possible for other people, but not for us.
That other people can do it, that the glowy warm life we imagine is for other people, not for us.
We have an unconscious belief that we can't do it, it's hopeless, and so, on some level, we stop making an effort.
We lapse into the way it always was or is. But change really is possible.
And it really does take a fierce kind of longing, and a fierce kind of love for yourself.
For the life you know is possible. Ask yourself what you love most of all.
Do you love your life? And are you willing to take action on your own behalf?"
TGIF, Sparkfriend! I hope your week was a good one and that you're ready for a fit, fun and fantastically healthy weekend! Keep your goals in mind and keep taking steps towards them. Remind yourself that you are capable...and love yourself enough to know that you are worth the effort!

"I believe in waking up every day and taking a good step toward health, and honoring your body." -Troian Bellisario
“In terms of days and moments lived, you’ll never again be as young as you are right now, so spend this day, the youth of your future, in a way that deflects regret. Invest in yourself. Have some fun. Do something important. Love somebody extra. In one sense, you’re just a kid, but a kid with enough years on her to know that every day is priceless."
Just stopping by to encourage you to make the most of each day, my beautiful young Sparkfriend! Keep your goals in mind, and do something every day that will move you one step closer to attaining them. Don't ever forget that you are always worth your best effort!
Have a healthy week!

"I believe that we are who we choose to be.
Nobody's going to come and save you. You've got to save yourself.
Nobody's going to give you anything. You've got to go out and fight for it.
Nobody knows what you want except for you.
And nobody will be as sorry as you if you don't get it.
So don't give up on your dreams."
Just stopping by to encourage you to keep doing your best, Sparkfriend! You don't have to be perfect in order to make progress. Be your own hero today and every day, and keep fighting to reach your goals. It isn't easy, but you are worth the effort!
