Happy Holidays

Make this the best month ever.
Make the 30 days of November work for you.

In "The Power of NOW" Eckhart Tolle teaches us to live for today. If we do that, all the days of the year will add up to our success.

"Never wait for the proper mood to start a thing, nor until the spirit moves you. Make your own mood. Make your own spirit. How? ACT. Do something – anything. Inspiration seldom generates action. Action always creates inspiration."

I've been a Sparker for seven years. Joined Sparks in October '07. I've five children, 39, 30, 27, 25, and 24. (Four boys/one girl) I have four GDs, Grace Olivia (3), Chanel Ava (2), Lily Dona (2) and Chloe' Renee (7 months).

I'm happy for all my Sparker Friends, who have been so wonderful to me and to give Nathan encouragement.
My seventh year goal is to EXERCISE daily now that I turned 65 and in my head I'm still 30.

Thank you for the Goodie and the reminder. I'll be working Thanksgiving so we always look forward to a nice meal prepared for us. And every holiday for the past 6 years, i prepare a little treat for the office staff who usually are too busy to leave the office. I like to have a themed tablecloth and a lot of festive trimmings, matching plates and napkins and some goodies that are either organic or just healthy. They work so hard for us all year, that it's a pleasure to treat them on holidays. Have a great week. emoticon emoticon

“Excuses or achievement

Do you live each day focused on excuses? Or are you instead focused on achievement?

If you’re focused on excuses, you won’t even make an attempt unless you’re sure you’ll get it perfect. When you’re focused on achievement, though you may not get it completely perfect, you will get it done.

If you’re focused on excuses, the slightest obstacle will stop you cold. When you’re focused on achievement, you’ll work your way through any challenge.

If you’re focused on excuses, you’ll avoid unfamiliar or uncomfortable situations. When you’re focused on achievement, you’ll seek out new, invigorating circumstances and will find great value in them.

Excuses sound reasonable, and enable you to be temporarily satisfied with yourself for doing nothing more than thinking them up. In the long run, though, excuses can bury you under a mountain of missed opportunities.

Let go of the easy excuses, and grab on to a burning desire for meaningful achievement. Focus not on excuses, but on real achievement, and you’ll bring a profusion of that great, satisfying achievement into your world.”

Ralph Marston

Thank you for your comment on my recent blog post. I agree - the sugary food and drinks definitely can get in the way! Have a fantastic Friday!
