Middle Aged?

I cannot believe I am 45 now. Does that make me middle age? I asked someone recently and they said I am beyond middle age by a few years. Goodness! In the last two years I have lost 55 lbs, but have gained back 10. I have learned I am really good at maintaining my weight, but can't seem to move beyond this plateau. It can be VERY frustrating! Of course, it also creates a situation with me in which I say "why bother"?! I have the knowledge, but need to find and keep the motivation to ...

Now with the nicer weather approaching, maybe I will get back to a good routine and stick with it. I feel so much better now and know I will continue to feel good with the weight loss.

My Goals:
I want to drop to under 200 lbs. and get myself in the habit of working on myself daily to maintain the changes I have made.

1/3/09 - I vow to get back on track and move every day! I need to start back on the right course to feeling and looking better. Each day I plan to move, even if it is just the 10 minute workout video for the bootcamp. I can do this!

8/11/07 - Today I lost my brother after a very courageous battle with cancer. I pray that his strength and determination will be something I can make my own, especially when it comes to losing weight and becoming healthier.

My Program:
Monitoring my food intake is key, whether I write it down or not. Also, eating more frequently (ever 3-4 hours) is key.

Consistency will be crucial for me this summer. I need to make sure I move more and not fall back into old, bad habits.

Personal Information:
I am now under the care of a weight management specialist. I just know there is something more than what is going on with me. I hit the gym 3 days a week and am eating okay. Yet, I have not budged on the scale and my pants are tight.

I have only been under the doctor's care since earlier this week, but so far it has been good. I have lost 7 lbs. this week alone! I am excited by this change. I continue at the gym 3 days a week for Zumba and once a week for strength training. It feels good.

Other Information:
My C.A.G.S. is finished! I am thrilled to be done with school and look forward to what is next in my life.

You can do it. I am older then you. I struggled with my weight for years and have finnaly learned to move more and eat less. Age is only a number.You should not worry about middle age,your in your prime years..think positive and you csn do anything.
