Time to get Healthy!

No more excuses, road blocks or distractions. This time i am serious about not just losing weight but doing it because I need it to be healthy. My weight should not control my life, and it won't anymore!

No more excuses, road blocks or distractions. This time i am serious about not just losing weight but doing it because I need it to be healthy. My weight should not control my life, and it won't anymore!

A little about me:
My name is Jessica and I am a surgical technologist/certified first assist from New Jersey. I have been engaged to Eli for 3 years and plan to tie the knot October 24, 2009. I joined SparkPeople because i want to be healthy, and my love (and sometimes obsession) with food has gotten in the way of that. I need to lose about 88 pounds to be at MY perfect weight of 190, I'm tall at 5'10" and i look muscular and lean at that weight.... right now i look frumpy. I don't want to be a size zero by any means, i want to be "me" and that means healthy and happy and not letting food and my weight get in the way of my life.
I look forward to finding great advise, motivation and friends on SP and hope to add that myself for others in the process!

My Goals:
My main goal is to feel and be healthy. I am a generally happy person, but being overweight has gotten in the way of certain things and caused me to be unhappy with both my appearance and my life. I know i can do better then what i have been, and i'm hoping to change my lifestyle, not diet!

My Program:
I am not on a diet!
I am eating consciously!!!
I will log everything i eat so i can try and stay within a healthy calorie range, and put food into my body that will do good things for me. I think a diet only sets us up for failure. I am trying to make changes for my life! i want to say goodbye to this weight FOREVER!

HI!!!!
i've been making my food for pretty much every meal this past week. it takes soo much time and energy but i have already started to notice a difference! no wonder they say the caf food is bad for you... it actually IS!!!
