Sometimes it's easy to forget the very important reasons why I'm doing this. For me it's a desire to have a better life. I want to have a longer, healthier life. I want to feel freedom from obesity. I want to experience the things in life that being extremely overweight prohibits. I don't ever want to be scared about a little twinge in my chest, wondering if I'm about to have a heart attack. I want to be active with my family, do things that we've never done, because it wasn't what fat people do. I want to swim. I want to run. I want to free my family and my mind of worry over my weight. These are the reasons I must continue this mission faithfully, honestly, and with a determined spirit.
A real transformation begins on the inside, not in a bottle or a package. The magic is sitting inside you, just waiting to be let out. The transformation is a learning process, one that comes from realizing you control your destiny, and that you can accomplish whatever you decide you're going to accomplish."

Hi my name is john, I live in west palm beach, fl.I had a problem with my heart (A-Fib) and I was told to lose weight or I would not be around long, My goal is to take back my life,so ill be around to see my grandkids grow up,I will take all the support I can to reach my goal weight,I need all of your help thanks
I've come to terms with the fact that I CAN'T "be like everyone else" when it comes to eating and drinking what I want, when I want. I'll have to do my own thing for the rest of my life, but I'm actually okay with that.
Numerous people have told me that I inspire them. That just blows my mind! I've never been "the success story" before.

I'm a "young" 50ish, who has struggled most of my childhood and all of my adulthood with my weight. I've been up and down and up and down. The past 5 years I've had quite a journey. I went to my higest weight ever 532 pounds. I got to the point were I was unable to to get around,could not sleep,I was only able to walk from chair to chair,my wife saved my life,she got a scale that would weight me,thats when I saw how heavy I had got,my waist size had got to 68 in..My wife and I started the south beach diet ,and as the weight came off,I had more engery and Thats when I had to get the mind set that this was a life long journey.
I AM DONE! -I am done hating to look in the mirror -I am done crying over how my clothes fit me -I am done not being comfortable enough to show myself naked to my Wife -I am done comparing myself to my friends -I am done deleting all the pictures because "i am fat" and deleting memories -I am done hiding -I am done with exuses -I am done being a fat man! - I AM
Surround your self with positive people and shun the negative ones. Time spent with negative people can end up making you feel bad even if you were feeling good in the beginning. Your life will be much more pleasant and your weight loss goals easier to attain if you surround yourself with positive people.

Happy Sunday. Hope you're summer is going great. Are you still on track to do all you can today to reach your goals tomorrow? If so, great! If not, what can you change today that will help you feel accomplished? One little thing. Drink more water? Cut out soda? Go for a walk? Small changes add up.
