Back at it

Hi there,

Well, I'm back at it again.... only with more weight. For some reason the weight came back... with friends! Ugh :p

I am 30 with three children and a nagging 101 extra pounds. Ouch!
I need to loose weight for several reasons...

1. Healthier Life- Longevity
I want to see my grandchildren have children and be with them as long as the Lord will allow with the best quality of life possible.

2. Selfesteem

Well, I'm back at it again.... only with more weight. For some reason the weight came back... with friends! Ugh :p

My selfesteem is shot and I need to give it a boost.

3. Role model
I want to be a positive role model for my children so they will stay active with healthy eating habits, will have better lives and be role modles for thier children and others.

5. Get Through Food Addiction
Yes, I have come to the conculsion that I am actually addicted to sweets and fatty foods. It's me against them now and if they win, it will mean the continuation of depression, weight gain, lack of self respect, self loathing, medical conditions and at worst death. When I have the ability to say 'no' to these foods and am able eat them in moderation WITHOUT feeling regret, remorse or like I'm punishing myself. I will consider myself one step closer to being the person that I know I am.

My Goals:
I have several goals (some are like batteries and 'not included' in this section)

1. Drink 8-8oz glasses of water a day.

2. Remember to pack my lunch.

3. Walk during my lunch break.

4. Eat every two hours, keep my metablosim going.



My Program:
Well, to remember to drink the horribly dreaded 8-8oz glasses of water a day. My friend and I email each other during the day when we take a drink of water to remind the other to do the same =) As nerdy as it sounds (I can admit it, I'm a nerd), it works!

I'm packing my lunch so I don't run into the 'what am I going to do for lunch' question and inevitably find myself in a drive thru. Not just in the drive thru, but in the drive thru ordering extra gravy and NOT the salad...

As far as walking, I have a set of walking clothes I'm keeping at my desk so don't have the excuse 'I'm not in the right clothes to walk on my lunch break'. I also have another friend who will walk with me on our lunch breaks to help keep me motivated.

Eating every two hours is hard for me as I am a major meal skipper. So, I've set a recurring reminder on Outlook to remind me to 'Eat!' Yes, it's true, my computer even reminds me I'm beautiful = ) LOL.

Personal Information:
I was born in San Diego, moved to Arizona when I was in 4th grade and have been here ever since. Yes, it's a dry heat. A very HOT dry heat... Dry heat, wet heat/humidity... It's all HOT to me!
