Me at my lowest, somewhere around 165.

I was probably around 190 here as well. I have a round face, so I always take pictures at an angle..

Me (on the right) with my sister at my high school graduation. I was around 220+ pounds.

The Road to Becoming Me

6-7-10: A very belated thanks to everyone so much for the congrats on being DGOTD!! I never expected I would be, and I'd been inactive on here for some time. I love you all!

I had a little hiccup when life decided to pile on the stress... and I piled on the pounds in response. About 15 pounds to be exact. I'm still dusting myself on, pulling myself up by my bootstraps, and getting back on track... But I know I can lose this newly returned fat along with some more.

-----------------------------------

Hi, my name is Tiffany. I'm 20 years old and I've been overweight for my entire life.

About the only time I was a normal weight was when I was a newborn, but after months under the care of my grandmother (both my parents worked all day) and getting a bottle every time I opened my mouth to cry, I quickly turned into a michelin-man baby. From there on, it only got worse. I went from a chubby child to an obese adolescent and to a tubby teenager. By the time I got to college, I weighed 220 pounds. I moved to the city to study culinary arts, and managed to get down to 180 pounds in the city life atmosphere. But once I went on my externship, I moved out of the downtown area and started working late nights at a restaurant. Since I had an hour-long bus ride in order to get to work, I soon found myself getting up in the afternoon to get ready for work, eating some semblance of a breakfast if there was anything around, catching the bus at 2:30pm and not getting home until as late as 1:00am on some nights. From there I would eat and go straight to bed. If I got up early to go to the gym, I was utterly exhausted the following days. I felt as though work consumed my entire life and all I wanted to do on my days off was sleep. My weight soon shot back up to 195.

In august I met my boyfriend over eHarmony. We quickly hit it off and I fell head over heels for him. Once I officially graduated from culinary school, I decided to move to South Carolina from Pennsylvania to be with him. We finalized the rental house during my visit over thanksgiving and we officially moved in early January after a 12-hour drive (a total of 24 hours for him, since he drove up to get me) southward. Unfortunately, my get-up-and-go city lifestyle has since gotten subdued after adjusting to his southern homebody ways. Now that I can't get a job until I get a car, I let myself slip into laziness a little more, and have gotten back up to 205 pounds.

This is the end of my procrastination and laziness. This is the end of "I'll do it once I get to -blah blah blah-". Spring is coming fast here in the south and my winter hibernation is through. I have a beautiful view of the ocean from my window and I'd like be be out there in a swimsuit someday without worrying that everyone is thinking "Hey, check out the fat chick!".

I can't say I want my body back. I never had a body, and I'm still in some of the best shape I've ever known, sadly. But I want my body to come out. It's been hidden for far too long. I know somewhere in here is a thinner version of me that I've never met before, and I'm determined to find her and set her free.

My Goals:
To turn a healthy lifestyle into a habit, to get down to my "normal" weight, and to be able to wear a swimsuit with confidence by next summer.

My Program:
I have developed a three-stage plan for myself based on 10% goals and the knowledge that those last 10 pounds can be the hardest to lose. My first goal is to lose 30 pounds, then 20, and then 10. Each goal set has a goal date and is divided into 10% goals to keep me motivated and to give me something to check off.

Personal Information:
I'm 5'5~ Just short enough to barely be able to reach anything at the restaurant I cook for.

I live on St. Helena Island in beautiful Beaufort county in South Carolina.

I’ve belonged to a lot of teams here on spark-- i really do believe that the Emotional Eaters team is one of the very best, it’s a great group of people- very supportive and encouraging-- and it is very refreshing to talk with people who "get" what you're going through!! ¸¸.•¨¸♥¨`*,¸.•*´¨`*• .¸♥.*¸.•´¸.•*¨¸.•*¨¸.•´¸.•*¨) ¸.•*¨)
Check out the main page of the EE team- there are “stickied” topics you may be interested in to get involved- a buddy thread, a place to introduce yourself, weigh-in challenge, a birthday post. ¸.•*¨¸.•´¸.•*¨(¸.•´ (¸.•´ (¸.•´¸¸.•¨¸♥¨`*,¸.•*´¨`*• .¸♥. ¸.•♥´ .•´¨¨ ¸´¸.•´¸.•*¨)¸¸.•´ ..•-~'¸.•*¨)
Spark has a lot of great tools, and you will learn which ones work best for you. The best tools are the people tho, always willing to lend a hand, an ear, or a shoulder. I’ve been here for over a year now, and I still am overwhelmed, every day, by the kindness and goodness of others on this team!! That has made a world of difference for me. I hope you have the same success! ¸¸.•¨¸♥¨`*,¸.•*´¨`*• .¸♥.*.•*¨¸.•´¸.•*
