Getting Fit at 40

I have had some great success in the past with getting fit through healthy eating and exercise. I have two children, and after each pregnancy I was able to get into great shape. Graduate school, for me, was like another "pregnancy", and I had to lose that weight as well. Now, I've just turned 40 years old and I am looking to get fit once and for all. At my age, I can't afford to get trapped in the lose/gain cycle. It's time to make healthy eating and exercise a daily habit.

My Program:
1. Walk/jog 30 minutes x3-5 days a wk.

3. Eat "clean." Home-cooked meals including lots of fresh produce.

4. 1350 - 1550 calorie range per day.



Personal Information:
I'm an animal lover. We have three dogs and a cat. I also enjoy going 4-wheeling with my husband and boys. Fun!

Thanks for the comment on my blog! I sweat like crazy during cardio so my shirt was drenched by the time we were done. It was definitely a challenging workout last night. I got up early this morning and went back to the rec center and did Week 3 Day 3 of Couch to 5K.
